Rachel is currently in her penultimate year of her Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University, graduating in 2021. During her studies, Rachel has been working as a paralegal since 2016 gaining experience in a number of areas of law. With her keen interest in family law, Rachel joined De Saxe O’Neill Family lawyers in July 2020. As a paralegal, Rachel is working closely with Directors, Janine De Saxe and Margie O’Neill developing her skills in family law with the aim of pursuing a career as a family lawyer to continue to provide assistance to those going through a difficult time in their lives.
Prior to commencing her legal studies, Rachel completed a Bachelor of Psychology at Kent State University in Ohio, USA which has given Rachel a valuable perspective and approach to issues within family law. As part of her studies she spent time in disadvantaged schools and school holiday camps in underprivileged areas. Since this time, Rachel has felt the need to advocate for the needs of children in all circumstances and holds particular interest in family law matters that involve parenting orders and child protection measures.

When she is not at work, Rachel enjoys playing and coaching hockey and spending time at the beach.
