Since completing a postgraduate Juris Doctor Law degree at Macquarie University whilst living in Singapore for the past decade, Antonia has practiced exclusively in Family Law. She has an interest in sensitive parenting matters including where mental health and substance abuse issues are present and her prior experience as a journalist has enhanced Antonia’s depth of understanding in this area. Much of this work was focused on family and parenting issues and it compliments her legal skills as she assists and advises clients navigate their parenting issues.
Antonia is very pragmatic, and her excellent verbal and written communication skills ensure that clients are always kept informed. She works closely with the Directors at De Saxe O’Neill across a broad spectrum of Family Law matters including property settlements, valuation issues, child support, spouse maintenance and Binding Financial Agreements. Antonia understands the emotional and financial cost associated with litigation and promotes the benefits of using alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and collaborative law to resolve family law issues.
Antonia has experience in a court room and if required, is a strong advocate for clients who find themselves in court.
Antonia is widely read and continues to contribute to various publications which keeps her abreast of current research. As a mother of 6 children, Antonia is well equipped to understand many of the challenges faced by both intact and separated families.
When not spending precious time with her family, Antonia unwinds exercising, doing yoga and curling up with a good book.
